All Filipino graduates of any course aged 21 to 28 years of age are eligible to participate. Pilot wannabes may register via the QR code provided by the airline.

“AirAsia is proud to have the best pilots in the country and we will strive to train more young cadets with our partner Omni Aviation Corporation. Through the ‘Dare to Fly! The Allstars Cadet Pilot Program’, we invite Filipinos to dare to dream with AirAsia,” Philippines AirAsia Chief Executive Officer Ricky Island said.

The airline's cadet pilot program features a two-year technical skills training that will eventually land you with a commercial pilot license as required by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

Philippines AirAsia will cover the training costs incurred for the whole duration of the program of its Allstars (staff) and will grant subsidies to non-employees. The trainees will reimburse their training costs upon graduation from the said program.

According to AirAsia, a thousand applications are anticipated upon the initial registration phase that runs from January 20, 2020, until February 20, 2020. For the final stages, 300 applicants will be thoroughly interviewed which includes cognitive and psychomotor skills tests.

The cadet pilot program aims to produce 10 new pilots and will have the chance to work with Philippines AirAsia in the future.

In October 2017, Cebu Pacific launched a similar program to augment the airline's continued expansion in the next five years. The Gokongwei-led company aims to produce 240 pilots until the year 2022.
