In a press statement, SkyJet commercial head Joseph Edward Alvarico said that the resumption of the Manila-Siargao route will enable the airline to help sustain the momentum of the island's market growth and demand.

"SkyJet's the first airline to fly directly to Siargao, and we are looking at fulfilling our aim at allowing everyone, including millennials, to experience the culture of the island by providing competitive fares," he added.

Flight M8 421 will depart from Manila at 9:50 am, arriving in Siargao's Sayak Airport at 11:10 am. The return flight M8 422 will depart from Siargao at 11:40 am, arriving in Manila at 1:10 pm.

SkyJet Airlines, which began commercial operations in 2012, currently flies from its hub in Manila to some of the country's top leisure destinations including Batanes, Camiguin, Coron, and San Vicente. The airline currently owns a fleet of British Aerospace BAe-146s which can accommodate between 80-92 passengers.
