Aviation Updates Philippines – In a Facebook page advisory, Clark International Airport announced airlines flying out of the airport will temporarily suspend commercial flights starting Friday, April 3, 2020, in support of the government's effort to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clark, as of the moment, has not announced any target dates to resume servicing passenger flights.

The airport's move was due to the "continuing travel restrictions being implemented in our country and abroad as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19," Clark International Airport said.

However, cargo flights, especially those carrying essential medical supplies, will continue to be serviced at the airport.

"The CRK Management takes this opportunity to thank all frontliners, most especially the CRK team members, who continuously serve the public during these challenging times."

For flight status updates, affected passengers transiting via Clark may call their respective airlines first before proceeding to the airport. Clark will continue to provide updates on its flight operations through its social media pages.

Aside from Manila, Clark has been the only airport connected to strategic international points around the world amid the pandemic. Currently, international flights to and from Kalibo, Panglao, Iloilo, Cebu, and Davao were cut off as part of their local government's push to decrease transmission.
