Aviation Updates Philippines – On Thursday, Philippine Airlines sent an Airbus A320 aircraft for a special three-leg, all-cargo mission to the Visayas.

PAL Spokesperson Cielo Villaluna posted on Facebook proudly displaying the flag carrier's commitment to its mission in serving the Filipino people. PAL flew essential medical supplies from Manila to Tacloban and Panglao.

"The PAL Group has been carrying essential medical supplies to/from domestic and international stations since the start of the Luzon-wide community quarantine," Villaluna posted.

Aside from the cargo hold, boxes were also placed on the aircraft's seats inside the cabin. Instead of the usual passengers, some medical cargo were placed in the cabin to maximize the Airbus A320's designed capacity.

On the same day, PAL also flew around 12 tons of personal protective equipment on-board an Airbus A330 aircraft from Guangzhou.

In an April 5 article, AUP recognized the airline's effort in maintaining air cargo links between the most crucial airports in the Philippines. PAL has continued to operate all-cargo flights to key domestic and international airports to assist the government in eliminating the pandemic.
