Aviation Updates Philippines– Korea's major five-star carrier Asiana Airlines plans to restart direct flights between Seoul-Incheon and Mactan-Cebu next month as part of its gradual rollout of service resumptions to limited international routes.

Beginning August 9, Asiana will resume Incheon-Cebu flights once weekly on-board the Airbus A321-200 aircraft. The Seoul-Cebu sector flies every Sunday, while the Cebu-Incheon leg flies every Monday.

OZ-709 flies from Incheon to Cebu at 8:20 pm local time and arrives at 11:59 pm local time. The return flight, OZ-710, departs from Cebu on the next day at 1:00 am local time and arrives back in Incheon at 6:20 am local time.

Asiana previously flew daily Airbus A321/A330 flights to Cebu before the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic. The last flight from Seoul (OZ-709) arrived on March 22, and the last flight to depart from Cebu (OZ-710) was on March 23.

Presently, the Korean airline operates limited flights to Manila (daily) and Clark (once weekly) from Seoul-Incheon. Asiana is expected to rollout more flights in the coming months.
