NAIA Terminal 3 to resume international flights

Aviation Updates Philippines – The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) on Saturday said the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 is set to reopen for international operations beginning Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

"After temporarily closing its doors in March 28 this year, NAIA Terminal 3 will finally open its gates to resume international flight operations beginning 12:01 AM of July 8, 2020," MIAA said in a press release.

All foreign airlines from Terminal 3 will now be relocated back after they were transferred to Terminal 1 earlier this year. In March, MIAA ordered the closure of Centennial Terminal 2, Terminal 3, and the Manila Domestic Passenger Terminal 4 as part of efficiency plans.

Beginning July 8, All Nippon Airways, AirAsia Berhad, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Turkish Airlines will now resume flights to Terminal 3.

Like the previous arrangements, Philippine Airlines remains at the Centennial Terminal, while some of its international flights depart from Terminal 1. International carriers assigned from Terminal 1 will stay there together with chartered repatriation flights.

"NAIA Terminal 4 shall remain closed until further notice," the agency said. The closure of the domestic terminal means Terminal 4-based airlines, Cebgo and Philippines AirAsia, will operate out of Terminal 3 as of the moment.
